By registering for and/or participating in the Global Optimism Run (“Event”), the Participant (“I”, “me”, or “my”) agrees to the following terms:

1. Acknowledgment of Risks

I understand and acknowledge that participating in a marathon involves physical exertion and carries inherent risks including, but not limited to, serious bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I am voluntarily participating in the Event with full knowledge of the risks involved and accept all responsibility for any injuries or damages that I may incur as a result of my participation.

2. Medical Fitness

I certify that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in the Event. I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I understand that I am solely responsible for my health and safety before, during, and after the Event.

3. Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event organizers, sponsors, affiliates, partners, contractors, volunteers, medical personnel, and any associated entities or individuals (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, or damages of any kind, including those caused by negligence, that may arise in connection with my participation in the Event.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • My participation in the Event;
  • My actions or omissions during or in relation to the Event;
  • Any injury, death, or property damage caused to me or any third party.

5. Personal Property

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings during the Event. The organizers are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.

6. Event Changes and Force Majeure

I understand that the Event may be postponed, modified, or cancelled due to weather conditions, acts of God, public health concerns, safety issues, or other causes beyond the control of the organizers. No refunds or compensation will be provided in such circumstances.

7. Media Release

I grant full permission to the Event organizers to use my name, likeness, photographs, video recordings, and other media captured during the Event for promotional and commercial purposes without compensation.

8. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that region.

By proceeding with registration, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the Indemnity Agreement.
