What is Indiscipline
Indiscipline is a behavioral disorder that is an act of delinquency like, lying, stealing and playing truant or running away from home. It is often the cause of a lot of mental, emotional and also physical damage. The undisciplined adolescent is an uncontrollable child and can do any damage when she/he does not get whatever she/he wants. When an adolescent is not able to follow the rules and regulation set by school, home, society it leads to indiscipline.
Indiscipline can cause more damage than you think
Typical behavior patterns of an undisciplined child can be listed as follows
- Poor school attendance
- Poor study habits
- Laziness
- Excessive sleeping at home
- Sluggishness
- Lack of interest in doing daily activities.
- Speaking foul language
- Disregard for school norms like turn out in uniform
- unbecoming and strange hairdo
- Lacking in personal hygiene
- Lacking in punctuality
- If a child consistently displays one of the above behavior- it is a sign of concern and a child showing such behavior needs immediate counselling.
Indiscipline can also inculcate violent behavior, negative peer influence, and poor time management.
Adolescents often confuse between freedom to speak and indiscipline. This is again a part of growing up where they feel why all the restrictions are only for them. Such incidents require delicate handling, and the right way is to approach a trained counsellor.
