What is Exam Anxiety?
It is a feeling of apprehension ,fear or tension in reaction to stressful situations created during examinations.

Physical symptoms: headaches, nausea, sweating, feeling too hot or too cold, etc.
Emotional symptoms: crying easily, feeling irritable, or getting frustrated quickly.
Thinking ability: it can cause you to blank out or have racing thoughts that are difficult to control.
Although many students feel some level of anxiety when writing exams, most can cope with that anxiety and bring it down to a manageable level.
Exam anxiety is a very natural thing which can happen to any child. But how to deal with the anxiety and to take correct steps is very important.
Sometimes a child does not want to discuss their Exam fear or anxiety with their parents. As the child has to meet the marks or percentage expectations set by their parents.
Taking help from a counsellor could help a child in easing out their problems they can share their thoughts and problems with a counsellor – even if it blowing off some steam ! Some teens need help to overcome their fear and anxiety issues. A parent’s responsibility is to help their teen to overcome the issue they are struggling to manage. There is no shame in asking for help when needed.
